Miguel Lopez Tula is a painter from Mexico City known for his unusual, magnificent creations. Innovative in both the subject and material of his art, Tula created his first painting with shoe polish when he was shining shoes at the age of five.

Tula shifted to oil painting when he was eight and decided to paint on anything he could get his hands on: coins, paper, shells, tile and plates. He moved to the United States around 1986 and commenced painting breathtaking creations on glass. His lifetime of work continues to capture the public’s interest and has been shown in 40 states across the U.S.
